06 Nov Non-invasive option to treat ingrown toenails!!!

Nail Bracing using Onyfix

Is the revolutionary way to treat ingrown toenails without the need for surgery! It will also help in correcting some traumatic nails by encouraging straight nail growth, as long as your nail bed is not damaged!

What is toenail bracing for?

  • Ingrown toenails
  • Curved/pincer toenails
  • Split toenails

While ingrown toenail surgery has a very high success rate to get rid of them long-term, it may not be the treatment of choice for everyone. Needle phobia, the time required to heal, breastfeeding (use of local anesthetics) and risk of infection (in particular in diabetes), can all influence the treatment decision.

How does Nail Bracing work?

Nail Bracing is applied on top of the nail and positioned in place by a Podiatrist. Once positioned Nail Bracing is then set using the bracing light. This enables the nail to regrow in its natural shape and alignment as the nail grows out. Nail Bracing remains in place until the nail grows out while being adjusted regularly by your Podiatrist.
